Hi My name Is Dai Thomas coach at Llandarcy ASC.

I am 49 years old married with three children and employed full time as a civil servant. My association with swimming commenced as a parent back in 1988 when I took my children to learn to swim at the BP Llandarcy Club. During this period I started assisting with the learn to swim classes as a volunteer. Within a short time I undertook the preliminary teacher qualifications and continued as a volunteer gaining experience in both the administration and poolside activities of the swimming club.

As my children grew older I progressed alongside them with the ASA Qualifications, becoming a Full Teacher and ASA Club Coach.

I am also currently employed part time by the Wales National Pool working with the Aqua School where I undertake 1:1 tuition and coach adult fitness.

My swimming qualifications are:

  1: ASA Preliminary Teachers.

  2: ASA Assistant Club Coach.

  3: ASA Full Teacher

  4: ASA Club Coach

  5: WASA Grade 3 Official
